Home Flower Care
Once home, your flowers should be given a few inches of cold water in a clean vase.
Give your flowers a fresh cut every couple of days by snipping off a half inch or more from the stem.
By using a clean vase (clean enough to drink out of), refreshing the water and trimming the ends, most of the flowers will stay perky at least 5-7 days.
Most CSA members find that they usually last even longer.
We don't use floral preservative and don't recommend any home-made recipes...clean water in a clean vessel is all you need!
In general, we harvest on the early side to give the longest vase life. You will see many of the flowers open in the vase, so don’t despair if blooms aren't fully open when you pick them up.
Do not place them in windows or other sunny/warm spots. Flowers like to be kept cool.
Do not let pets or kids nibble on these. While some blooms are edible, most are not.
